Maketoys Quantron Sonic Drill Knee Replacement

Has your Maketoys Quantron Sonic Drill snapped off on the knees due to the very tight knee joint?  Here is a a replacement part of the broken knee part.  The knee notch is shaved slightly to prevent the knee ratchet joint being too tight again, and also welded/fused to the sides so the notch will not snap off.  For installation, just knock the metal pin/rod out and swap the knee part in.  If the metal pin/rod fitting is too tight with the shapeways part, you may want to consider purchasing 2mm metal rods on ebay and use that instead.  Photos shown are using generic 2mm replacement metal rods.  Tested material is Polished White Strong & Flexible.  Selling this at zero markup as a part replacement.

NOTE: if ratchet notch is still too tight after installation, do NOT force the joint.  You may need take the part out and sand the notch down a little.
