I present the handcuff key for SOG multitools, a commissioned piece for Jaay.
It offers both a standard handcuff key and a 1/4" hex driver.
This is the right handed version of the two available handcuff key tools, designed to take the place of the plastic spacer, next to the awl and in the handle which also houses the can opener and blade.
The handcuff key's pin hole has been modeled with a smaller diameter than it should have to improve the chances of it printing successfully. This hole will need drilling out to a diameter of 2.5mm and a depth of 8.5mm before it can function as a key.
This model is designed to be printed in bare Stainless Steel or with one of the various surface finishes available.
This tool is in the prototype stage and no guarantees can be made as to it's operation as a working handcuff key or it's ability to fit into a SOG multitool's handle, although a little bit of file work will most likely be all that's required were it not to be a perfect fit yet.
Despite this tool having been designed to fit into a specific tool, all SOG handle tools have the same locking interface so the handcuff key tool may fit into other SOG multitools than just the S44/PPP. However just like the SOG phillips driver tool, the handcuff key tool may clash with the tools around it, due to it sticking out sideways. It will therefore not be possible to install with certain tool arrangements.
