I am a VW enthusiast and owner. **NEW V3 PICS**
I always wanted a much more scale chassis for the popular Tamiya Sand Scorcher model. NOW in Version 3. The details are taken from a full size vw floorpan. NOW AVAILABLE SEPERATELY - ADD ON TUNNEL PIECE.. To add even more realism.
The chassis has comparable rigidity to the standard one. screws are all recessed for a neat look and so you can use original fixings (you'll need a cap screw for the body mount post, it looks better anyway). This is designed as a bolt on upgrade for any Scorcher."Lift kit" type rails to stiffen the chassis and fill the gap between body from the side. Also I have added the stamping pattern to the top surface - much more scale looking. The radio tub will still fit in there if required. This may also fit the other models in the SRB range like the rough rider etc but I do not have one to test fit.
This part was designed to be printed in strong and flexible plastic but I have enabled it for printing in stainless too.
