Okinawa Martial Arts Set - 1:4

Okinawan martial arts refers to the martial arts, such as karate, tegumi and Okinawan kobudō, which originated among the indigenous people of Okinawa Island. Due to its central location, Okinawa was influenced by various cultures with a long history of trade and cultural exchange, including Japan, China and Southeast Asia, that greatly influenced the development of martial arts on Okinawa.

This set, inspired by the arts of Okinawa Island, consists of six weapons – Nunchaku, Sai, Kama, Tonfa, Kusari-Gama, and Eku.  Each weapon either originated from the Okinawan styles, was adopted by the styles (sai) or was descended from another Okinawan weapon (kusari-gama.)

This set is printed in White, Strong & Flexible plastic and as such, has a slightly rough surface texture out of the box.  It is suggested that you use a fine grit sandpaper to gently sand down* this surface texture to a smooth finish before priming and painting your weapons.

There is a slight chance of the item arriving warped.  This is due to heat and other factors in the printing process.  If this happens, apply even heat with a hair dryer until the plastic softens, then gently reposition the pieces with your fingers.  Allow it to cool in the corrected position to maintain the shape.

* Plastic sanding dust can be toxic if inhaled or ingested.  Please wear appropriate safety gear such as goggles and breathing mask when sanding Quarter Scale Armory models.
