Test pattern for porcelain surface detail

<p>Thanks to Shapeways, we can now create art and design objects in porcelain. Some of us have been surprised by the way the various glazes interact with surface details.</p><p>In order to answer the question of how much detail a surface can have, we created this test pattern. It includes a series of ridges that test the reaction of any glaze to the frequency and amplitude of ridges on a porcelain surface.</p><p>Ridge depth: min 0.5 mm, max 10 mm, varying by angle</p><p>Ridge thickness: min 1 mm, max 5 mm, varying radially from inside to outside</p><p>You can also enjoy it as a paperweight or minimal art (if you really want to).</p><p>If you order a print, please send us photos by <a href="https://www.shapeways.com/forum/index.php?t=ppost&toi=778646">private message</a> or posting a comment below.
