Product Description
This N scale part is is the water spout, frame with pulleys, counterweights, and valve actuator for a Prince Edward Island Railway 25,000 gallon enclosed water tower. The spout was formed from 12" iron pipe, rather than the sheet metal fabricated spouts that were common in later years.
These tanks were built at Alberton, West Devon, Summerside, Hunter River, Mount Stewart, Morell, Harmony Jct., and Georgetown, PEI.
It is likely these parts will be useful to modellers building other railways' water towers.
The rather fragile valve actuator is protected by a sprue which will need to be carefully trimmed off. I recommend using a fine razor saw for this, rather than sprue nippers, which put outward pressure on the parts.
