1928, Escutcheon for Window Winder

This is the ESCUTCHEON at the base of the Window Winder.
It has four small cleats that grab the material to keep it from turning.
You press it in to expose the set-screw that holds the winder on.

The original was stamped steel.

If you are low on cash and NEED this part, you can just paint the plastic parts; they won't look original, but this part should last for a while because it does not carry any load, but if you have the money, get the steel.

A window Winder for cars from the late 1920'sFits Marmon: Model 78, Model L, Little Marmon, Big 8??

These might have been purchased by Marmon from an outside vendor that also sold them to other auto manufacturers.  If they look like yours, buy the plastic samples and see if they fit.  If you like them, purchase the steel versions.

 

The original Winder handle was made from pot metal.
