1/700 Citadel-Class Battlecruiser

The Bulmutian Citadel-class battlecruiser was developed specifically as a response to the powerful flying triremes of Alexandria.  The 200-metre, 30 000-tonne ship was to be armed with eight 300mm cannons and twelve 250mm cannons, all in special turrets that could rotate rapidly and elevate their guns to nearly 90 degrees.  Only one ship was completed, the Garthilde ("gart-hild").  Six other ships were laid down, but never completed, mainly because the loyalist Alexandrian fleet attacked the shipyards of Arnturn, in response to the Bultmutians harbouring and allying with the exiled Grand Duchess Rubina Karamazova.  In a later incident, Garthilde herself, which was armed with incendiary shells but not armour-piercing ammunition, was sunk after retaliation by the Zaphnora.  When the regent learned of this, he ordered that no more resources be devoted to specialised anti-aircraft warships.
