Product Description
In late 1889, the Herreshoff Manufacturing Company, disappointed by a series of bungled con-tracts with the US Navy and looking to expand its civilian market, decided to fill the need for transport on Venus. In the late 1880s, flying transport on Venus was primarily dominated by small ad hoc “homebuilt” constructions. Nathanael Herreshoff thought he could do better. In July 1889 he began to design a modular cargo ship capable of serving as a mobile trade center.
