Atlas, Titan, Minuteman, and Peacekeeper. The Atlas D (B-65 and later SM-65) was the United States' first operational ICBM, with a range of about 9000 miles. The Titan I (B-68, SM-68, and finally HGM-25) was America's first multi-stage ICBM. Developed as a back-up to the Atlas, it had a range of about 5500 miles. Peacekeeper (also known as MX and LGM-118) could carry up to ten warheads for about 7500 miles. The Minuteman (LGM-30) is currently the only operational U.S. land-based ICBM.
