The Omen Light Fighter 2 was designed to have the same volume and mass as the original, but included a more advanced engine, allowing longer range, higher speeds, and greater maneuvera-bility. Many governments who used the original Light Fighter in carriers adopted the LF2, as it provided a “drop-in” replacement. Though not considered outstanding in any regard, the Light Fighter 2 is serviceable and cost effective.
