Traditionally I begin most carvings by piercing the raw matter and then allow the form to evolve through my internal dialog with the material. These pieces began similarly within the software ZBrush, continuing the "dance" between the pixels and 3D space. Most often I don't have a preconceived notion about what I'm working on, rather letting the piece dictate which direction it takes and what needs to be done albeit directed through my perception of what feels correct.
These earrings are one of the first pieces of jewelry I've been consistently selling out of at Gallery Night. Very light weight and look great. There is a hole at the top of each piece where I've added an earwire, stainless steel, 8mm fishhook with 2mm ball, 21 gauge. This is what you'll need in order to complete the piece.
This comes from Shapeways without any findings, if you want a finished piece you'll have purchase
