888sr xl - chassis kit

* 1/24 scale, 4.5" (114.3mm) wheelbase chassis.
* .813" (20.6mm) dia rear tires. .050" (1.3mm) chassis clearance at rear of chassis
* .750" (19.1mm) dia front tires. Can be used with either a .063" (1.6mm)

* Accepts most 1/24 scale 4.5" wheelbase bodies
* Extra robust design to withstand the rigors of commercial track racing, good for the beginner/novice

   - Side pan movement front-to-back and side-to-side

Hardware required to complete chassis assembly:
(available from most commercial slot car tracks/retailers)
1. (4) 3/32” x 3/16” flanged bearing recommended (can be substituted for a bronze oilite of the same size)
2. (2) .050” dia. x 3.125” stainless steel pin tubing
3. (2) .050” dia. x .750” stainless steel pin tubing
4. (2) .047” dia x 3.600” piano wire (optional "torsion bar" tuning feature)
5. Metric screws (Mcmaster-Carr is a good source for these items):
   a. (2) m2 x 6 - socket head cap screw
   b. (2) m2 x 16 - socket head cap screw
   c. (6) m2 x 5 - flat head cap screw
   d. (4) m2 x 6 - flat head cap screw


Components required to complete your spec racer:
(available from most commercial slot car tracks/retailers)
1. (1) guide flag, 10-32 nut and shims as required for your track conditions
2. (1 pair) braid
3. (1) 18 gauge lead wire with guide clips
4. (1) 3/32” front axle
5. (1) 3/32” rear axle
6. 3/32” axle spacers as needed (dependent on choice of tire/rim and desired overall car width)
7. (1 pair) 13/16” .8125” diameter rear tires for 3/32” axle (if additional track clearance is required use a .820" rear tire)
8. (1 pair) 3/4” .750” diameter x 1/4” .250” wide front tires for 3/32” axle
9. “Mini motor" of choice (ie. pro/slot ps-4001 & ps-4002 motor family and the jk-products "hawk" line of motors)
10. 48 pitch pinion and crown gear of choice (final drive ratio will be dependent on motor and track conditions)
11. Lexan body of choice. most 1/24 scale 4.5” wheelbase “scale” type (non "wing-car") bodies will fit
