Product Description
Out of all of the Talyllyn's Carriages, (and if we forget about No9) non could have taken as many visual changes in such a short period of time as No7. The carriage origonally started life as an Ex-Penrhyn open carriage, after being regauged it was fitted with a roof with minimal support and dumb buffers. This guise didnt last too long as the bodywork was rotting and it rarely saw use in traffic. in the 60's, the frame was brought back into use to be the basis of the Abergynolwyn 'Tea Van' and saw much use until the contruction of the new tea rooms, during which it was used as a mess van. Years later what was left was used once more for a very extensive rebuild into what we now see as the wheelchair prioritised saloon as represented in this model.
To complete this model, Graham Farish wheels can be slipped in situ without any filing. glazing can be obtained by pulling the plastic out of your easter egg boxes! And at last the roof can be fabricated out of plasticard or packaging card. Just paint to suit your models livery and add your preffered couplings and away you go.
