Product Description
Working seesaw for a kids playground diorama or model train layout, in HO scale (1:87).

Highly detailed model, with dual seats on each side, and a hinge-rod that snaps into the base and actually allows the seesaw to ... well, seesaw. All "metal" parts are rounded, to be totally child-safe.
The model needs a single step of assembly: Simply snap the hinge rod into the semicircular holders on each side on the base. The hinge rod has grooves to prevent it sliding sideways. The model also requires painting. Underneath the base, 4 breakaway pins of 5 mm length each are provided, for ease of mounting onto your layout. If those pins are not needed, they can be easily snapped off.
This model would lend itself to motorization: An RC servo under the layout can be used to drive piano wires, to rock the seesaw back and forth. For suggestions on how to achieve this, click "Contact Designer" on this page. If anyone orders this item in any plastic material (FD, FUD, WSF, ...), paints and motorizes it, and sends me a nice video for me to publish on this and other sites, I'll refund the full item price as listed on this page, via PayPal!
Recommended material: Frosted Ultra Detail, to get the best of the high level of surface detail in the model.
Will print in the other plastics as well, care has been taken to keep the wires thick enough as per ShapeWays design specifications.
