Product Description
Each stick must be printeded in six parts, which consit of two unique halves and four identical inserts which pin them tightly together with or without glue. I've included all of these models in one product page by basically abusing the "polyhedral dice" options to number the distinct parts. You will have to order one of each half and four copies of the insert in order to complete one drum-stick. Double those quantities, of course, to complete a functioning set of uneceserily high-tech, completely awesome drum sticks.
For printing this model yourself on your own printer, you will require a minimum 12in. square bed, which will give you a diagonal just long enough to accomodate the long parts without segmenting (which will weaken) them. I personally highly reccomend phosphorescent or thermochromatic pigmented filaments!! PLA material has worked spectacularly for me, but its low thermal resistance makes me afraid to leave my printed sticks laying under sunny windows or in my parked car except on the floor unde the seats where it remains relatively cool. PETG or ABS materials may be better, ultimately, for those reasons. I believe the Shapeways "Natural White" material is some kind of nylon; I have set the printing orientation on Shapeways to align the printing-grain for best stick strength.
