Product Description
The Globus pallidus (Latin for "pale globe") is a part of the brain involved in regulation of our voluntary movements that occur on the subconscious level. A good luck charm because if the Globus is damaged it can cause uncontrollable movement disorders, as its regulatory function will be impaired. The striking beauty of this neural group is breathtaking. The Globus pallidus is also involved in the constant subtle regulation of movement that allows people to walk, talk, text, drive, chew gum, and engage in a wide variety of other activities with a minimal level of disruption. In primates, the Globus pallidus is divided into two parts often termed "internal" and "external"; both are composed of closed nuclei surrounded by tissue walls.
