Often mistaken for the rather larger Heron, the Egret is one of the Columbia Design Bureau's most adaptable designs capable of almost any task that put an emphasis on long range rather than performance. With its capacious flying wing configuration the Egret is equally at home hauling bulky freight or heavily armed zeppelin boarding parties. Its four small but efficient engines give it an impressive range that allow punitive bombing raids over a wide area. When fitted with a pair of flak guns in the forward barbettes and the Airacuda fire control system it makes an ideal hijack platform.
The spherical recess underneath the model is for mounting it on an 8mm BB.
