About this Product

Every Team Fortress 2 Engineers must have tool; the Sentry Gun!

Been busy taking out enemies? Time to upgrade your sentry then to the it's most powerful state; Level 3!

This model contains parts needed to build the "level 3" sentry gun. You will also either need to have already purchased the parts for "level 1" and "level 2" or purchase them along with these parts before you can build the level 3 gun. Once assembled with the previous levels, the model will be approximately 9.5cm x 11cm x 9.5cm from it's longest points.

Links to the level 1 and 2 parts can be found below.

Level 1
Level 2

The YouTube video linked demonstrates the assembly of all levels along with some additional information.

Please also consider visiting my website: www.psychobob.co.uk

PLEASE NOTE:
- This item does not come pre-painted.
- For "level 2", you need to purchase the parts for "level 1". For "level 3", you will need to purchase the parts for "level 1" and "level 2".

@Darkai175 The design? I used some CAD software in the end and pretty much did everything by eye. I've got a build log post on my website (www.psychobob.co.uk) on this if you were interested, but it's not intended as a tutorial. If you're referring to the assembly instructions, check the video in the description :)

@bdickason I considered it when creating the model, but FCS will be difficult to get right at this particular scale. If I did do an FCS one, it would most likely need to be a rigid type model to try and give it a bit more durability as FCS is more brittle than WSF (meaning you lose the option of upgrading it a level at a time or switching between the different versions or having moving parts like the bullet chains). If I did want to do an FCS version, I would most likely need to build this pretty much anew as the design rules are fairly different between FCS and WSF. In that case I would most likely make it a bit bigger also which would increase the price a little. With all that said, I'm afraid it will be unlikely I will be making an FCS version for this any time soon :(

@Yats If you're looking for painting tips/tutorials I suggest you google for this information. The internet is a wealth of information and there are hundreds if not thousands of videos on youtube alone regarding scale model painting. The sign is a decal I made and then applied to the model. Again, the internet will provide more than enough information on this.

@NatDart Thanks for purchasing! I didn't use citadel paints myself so I can't say which specific shades to use from that line. I ended up using tamiya paints, but even then I didn't use any pre-mixed shades. I just mixed red/brown for the red paint work, black/white for the light metal (favouring white) and black/white for the light metal (favouring black). Of course, there's no rule that says you can't make your own unique scheme for yourself and you have to follow what I've done or what's in the game. You could always be really adventurous and try out a pattern scheme like they have in the portal turret video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GGPIQ72-2Vg&t=0m24s). Shoot for the moon and be unique!

I just ordered all 3 sets and I can't wait to put them together! What paint colours do you suggest? I was thinking of going with the Citadel paints that I use from Games Workshop.
