USS Mojave

The USS Mojave (Apache Class Fast Cruiser) NCC 31223 The Mojave was one of a dozen ships known as a "Hit and Run" attack vessel. Very fast and maneuverable at impulse an Apache class could drop out of warp unload a lot of fire power then jump back. While fast and well armed, this class had only the minimum shields required, devoting a majority of its resources to the task of getting in and getting out during battle. This class of vessel saw a lot of action during the Cardassian-Federation wars where its minimal shields held up well against enemy fire. Crew compliment of 150-200. The class was outfitted with 4 phaser banks and 300-500 photon torpedoes. The Mojave, served on the front lines,(2347-2363) where it engaged over 35 different Cardassian warships, (and directly destroyed 12 of them). During its commission, the Mojave had 3 captains. Captain Thomas Reginald (Male, Earth). Captain Huyn Fenderer (Female, Orion) and Captain Cunava (Male Vulcan). Following the armistice with Cardassia, The Mojave along with 4 other surviving Apache class ships served as systemic ships patrolling the federated worlds and keeping the peace.
