The Blaze 3D Hotliner Micro RC is the first high performance aircraft to be completely 3D printed. For complete Ready-To-Fly versions, order from www.custompowersolar.com/planes.html . To complete, add a Spektrum AR6410LBL 6 ch receiver with 2 built in servos & speed control, 2 SPMAS2000 ultramicro servos for the ailerons, a BL-180 2500kv brushless motor, 6x3 prop, 200-360mah 2s battery & 0.5mm steel wire for the 4 servos. Slide/rotate battery cover. Plane weight 30g. Flying weight 67g. NOTE: Default is white.

The Blaze 3 has the AS3X gyro stabilization, so has to have 4 separate servos - two in the wings & two on the fuse behind the receiver. Its MUCH easier to fly with the AS3X - almost impossible without it. It is SO small it is ultra twitchy without the gyros. On the first test flight with the gyros, I had the polarity inverted. I think it rolled at something like 10 revolutions per second. I've never seen anything roll that fast. Fixed that with the USB programming cable and it's a fun flier - just don't get it too far away. I figured if you scaled it up to a full size 25' wingspan aircraft and scaled the speed, it would be going something like Mach 1.3.

so cool :) oh man hopefully i can find some time making something flyable myself... already have all the electronics but im still undecided what im gonna build

Working on it! Will let you know. Its quite fast so care needed to not fly it out of sight. Makes it tricky to camera follow. Typical flight time without extreme aerobatics 5-7m with 240mah 2 cell.

I considered putting the servos underneath but since there is no landing gear they will get dirt & sand in the feedback pots. The new Blaze 2 has a more conventional symmetrical airfoil & a cutout for the servos considering adding a cover but don't want to add drag. Im looking at a simple two servo elevon flying wing design with a pusher prop.

Looks awesome! I'm working on a printed-plane myself. May I suggest reversing your wing structure? Aerodynamically, it would be better to have the smooth surface on TOP, and have the exposed structure on the bottom. It may be a little counter-intuitive, but it will be a more efficient wing that way.
