Hi, I bought the logo branding iron and also got problems with the lighter. At first I got an electrical lighter from BIC and that was no good. Got me a different (firestone), regular lighter (not BIC). Didn't fit as well. Finally found a good, large BIC lighter. Assembled the customized branding iron and took a good look.... It didn't go on easily. Also tried to assemble the customized one instead of the pre-fitted metal cap, but that doesn't seems to be good as well. Does somebody have some advice?

I am astounded at how difficult it is to find a cricket electronic lighter. (I think they called it a "Simplicity" lighter.) I've looked around online and can't find a vendor-- and I've asked around at a couple local smoke shops and they don't know what I'm talking about. It can't be *that* hard to find one-- anyone have any leads? Normally my google fu is strong, but this is proving to be bizarrely difficult.

I was so excited to get my branding iron and I also have not been able to find a lighter to fit it. Like the earlier individual said the bic lighter you find everywhere wont fit, and I can not find the cricket electronic anywhere that supposedly the iron WILL fit. I've bought several lighters and have more or less given up at this point. I would think twice before placing an order for this item. Very disappointing.

so i have the branding iron (two of them actually!) and i can't find a lighter to fit them onto. in the USA the bic lighter is everywhere and is too wide and not rounded at the end for this branding iron. i tried modifying a lighter (ie: squeezing it with a plier) to make it narrower, but that has not worked and will not provide a stable hold to brand when it is hot.
