@fakebusker83 , other than the head spike, I'm really interested in the "HA Bumblebee hands" set. If I need to package it with other parts that would be the ones, if that's possible :x

Hi @minigun654 , not sure if that is effective as that spike is really tiny. If it's released alone it will probably get lost more often in production than when it's sprued with something else. You want to package it with at least a missile or something?

Really nice work! I was wondering if there is a way that I can just get the head pike only, as that is the only part that I need.

@fakebusker83 cheers for the link but i really just wanted a pair of show accurate single missiles for screamer. thanks for the response anyway.

Hi @greendragoon , you can try this link. It has the single, triple missiles and knee spikes. No blaster. https://www.shapeways.com/model/783903/tfp-deluxe-starscream-set-no-gun.html?li=my-models&materialId=6&key=7d04f428d02d58e395bd27a52cadae3a

I really just want the single missiles set is there any chance you can sell that separate from the other upgrade parts?

@skyfire I'm definitely with Skyfire on this one...those PVC bits bend easily and fixing them is just iritating

Ordered in White Strong & Flexible Polished. Apparently "polished" doesn't count for the inside surfaces as there was a ton of powder residue to scrape out of the missile clusters. As for fit, the 3-missile clusters are REALLY tight (after scraping as much as I think I safely can), and the single missiles are REALLY loose. Guess I'll need to fill those with some clear nail polish. Once colored it all looks pretty good, though I wish it came without the giant gun I'll never use that contributes to the price so much. If it had I would have gone for the Ultra Detail option.

Any chance of getting this scaled up for Voyager Screamer? Even if it's just the crest and knee spikes, I'd love to ditch those PVC parts.

Hi Ryan, definitely Frosted Ultra Detail, as normal Detail materials will most likely snap under pressure during assembly. -Ariel

Since my last comment I did install the knee pieces and head crest and they look fantastic. Especially the head crest, as it's straight now instead of curved like the original piece was Of course, I put one of the knee bits in crooked, it got stuck and rather than pull it out and try again I kept pushing until I snapped the piece in half. But it took superglue just fine and when I put it in straight it works great, and I don't really fear that it will break again. Definitely thinking about ordering a second set in a translucent material for when I get the Dark Energon version from BBTS. Would you recommend Transparent Detail or Frosted Detail?

Everything looks good in the photo. But OH! I didn't realize that there will be differences in mounting options between the standard release and the AM version, I'm so sorry. I'm glad the rest of the pieces are working well for your though!

I ordered this set in Black Strong Flexible, because I intended it for Arms Micron Skywarp. I probably should have tried to clean the pieces off a little more, but they ended up much smother than I expected, once I'd added the purple paint and a few layers of clear coat. They still look pretty grainy in pictures, but in person it's far less noticeable. The paint I used was a $3 purple paint marker from Walmart, and a corresponding black one to fix my mistakes, and then a spray on Krylon (I believe) plastic-safe clear coat, also from Walmart. The purple looks like a very close match in person, though the difference is more apparent on camera. The only problem with getting this set for Skywarp, is that none of the weapons can be used in jet-mode, as Skywarp doesn't have the same mount piece on the wing that Starscream does. But I think they look great in bot mode, though I haven't installed the head crest or knee bits yet. http://ryanlb.com/images/tf/images/skywarp-arms-micron-shapeways-kit-1.jpg

got my set today only to find the head and knee parts are missing obviously the person doing the printing is missing the smaller parts :(

Hi Krem. Between WD and FUD, I would always pick FUD because of its hardness and good detail. But specifically for this set I'll recommend White Strong Flexible instead because some of the pieces are small and delicate. If you are not careful you might break them if they're FUD.

Also, White Detail vs. Frosted Ultra Detail: what would you recommend and why?
September 5, 2012, 11:09 pm
Would you possibly offer a smaller set consisting of just the single missiles, knees, and head crest, thus excluding the triple missiles and blaster?

Whaddup J! I probably won't change the parts line up for this set, but I've made available the left handed blaster to be purchased separately. You can find it here: http://www.shapeways.com/model/472029/tfp_deluxe__fe__starscream_left_blaster.html

I'd be interested in a set with a null ray blaster mirrored for his left hand as well.
