Cheer up, Little Keanu Reeves, it's ok. Just finish your sandwich and march on. Life is like a box of chocolate. Which pill will you choose? There is no spoon. You can't handle the truth! Wait. What was I doing again?

Really like the design. Would be perfect on my office desk! Just not sure, is this hollow from inside or solid?

@krof.drakula Ha! just noticed this one. Is he sad because his CSS won't look right?

@neuralfirings http://i.imgur.com/M2SndKE.jpg I used Loctite control liquid super glue. The break was right at his shirt collar. The color sucked out of his head and face, leaving it pale, even for keanu.

@WayGroovy awww, that's truly sad. What kind of superglue did you use? I've superglued PLENTY of sandstone color pieces.. including an amputated Sad Keanu. Here's a picture w/ the arrow pointing on where I superglued: https://www.evernote.com/shard/s6/sh/48e32105-74f9-4efa-b67a-2519a2cf7504/06463a3388559d076155604d7177ebf5

Whoa.

I had a sad little keanu. His head fell off, when he fell off my monitor. I tried to superglue it back on, It sucked the color out of his head. Do not superglue together the sandstone 3d printed items.

@neuralfirings Thanks so much man. that helps alot. Kinda lost me on the math part lol.. But I will figure that out.. I have always been creative and figured stuff out on my own, but the math is where It takes me awhile. Ill keep intouch with you, I am sure I will have more questions.

@Tjsolo you should export s VRML2 (.wrl) or X3D (.x3d). Two things to be aware of: 1) You need to upload a zipped file contain the model (.wrl/.x3d) and the texture maps (.jpg/.png) 2) These file types default to meter scale. So unit of 1 = 1 meter. This means if you create something 4 inches/10 centimeter, make sure it is 0.1 units tall. Let me know if you have any more questions!

@neuralfirings Thanks :-) .. I found that out not to long after posting it. one more question tho. Witch file type does if have to be exported as? to be able to print in sandstone full color?
January 22, 2013, 6:47 pm
@Tjsolo if you use a UV Texture Map (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=obB9T3jXlak), you can print in color with the material Full Color Sandstone
January 22, 2013, 6:42 pm
@neuralfirings How where you able to have that printed in multiple colors???

I didn't realize just how impactful this design was until I noticed that I have dressed just like your lil' keanu several times since seeing it.

Received my Sad Little Keanu recently and I love him! He's very heavy and looks (and feels) like concrete. Very detailed and cute! He has hit own little wooden bench that he's sitting on, being harassed by my Rapeface Woody doll. Tempted to her a Teeny Keanu to sit on top of my TV but I think I'll just stick with the standard size.

You guys realize he actually has had a pretty rough life, right?

@BIGBala -- good luck! Maybe a bagel sandwich would make him happy, or a serenade? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kcsemGUl0xM

Ordered me a teeny one! Excited to try my best to make Teeny Sad Keanu smile!

@squireshillcottage I'm so happy you like little Keanu! The material is a bit brittle, sad Keanu cannot survive a sad fall. Poor guy!

Just unpacked my sad little Keanu and he is sitting forlornly on top of my iMac screen. A very impressive addition to the world of things and worth every single hard earned penny in my opinion. I've no idea how strong he is though - very heavy for a little fella. But then he does look like he's got all the weight of the world on his shoulders.

Hey all! Thanks for the comments. :) First, I think I owe a disclaimer: I did not model this one. I know I know.. I had a friend model it as a side project. But I agree, he did a SMASHING job! Second, yes it's a little pricey. That's why I made an ittier bittier one: http://www.shapeways.com/model/403961/ -- that one is about 2/3rds the size and more than 50% off ($19.99). Wowza! Happy to take any request for other products you'd like to see. I was thinking of making Potter Puppet Pal finger puppets. It would be great to get the arms to move. Hmm..

Ha, ha, nice model, but a little expensive. You need to stick a hole somewhere in Keanu, use your imagination, and hollow him out a little.

Something about him related to The Matrix and you got a buyer. Nice figure.
