A nozzle for use when making sausages with a piping bag. Ceramics ONLY other materials aren't food safe.
I've been making sausages by hand for a while now, it's a great way to waste some time. However, if using a piping bag to fill the sausage casing you'll find that regular nozzles are a pain to use. They simply aren't designed for the job. They don't handle the casing very well, not holding enough, being difficult to load, and sometimes tearing it. Add to that the fact that even the widest that I could find would sometimes jam (I'm using hand cut meat instead of minced) and it just adds frustration to what is an otherwise fun experience.
So, being unable to find a nozzle that met all the criteria (all the ones I could find were for mechanical sausage fillers) I decided to design one that did. This is the end result.
NOTE: I've tried it with a couple of cloth piping bags, and whilst the angle seems correct I found that I usually need to cut a bigger hole in the bad to accommodate the extra diameter of this nozzle.
