This is a 12 inch sculpture of a Pterandon from the Cretaceous period. It makes for a stunning display piece. The base is solid so as to balance the wide wingspan. The model was created for a tutorial in 3D Artist magazine: https://www.imagineshop.co.uk/magazines/3dartist.html

@figurebang oh yeah! I really hope to get a bronze print of it sometime. But before that I have to cut it up into several pieces to fit within the minimum bounding box. It's not an easy model to cut up like that, though.

WOW! Then that's an excellent price for a completely solid print at that size! Shapeways rocks!

@figurebang no part of the model is hollow. I chose to make the base solid to ensure stability, what with the forward leaning posture and wide wing span. The body is also quite small, and so there was no need to make it hollow.

That looks amazing! You say in the description that the base is solid, is any part of the model hollow? If so, where did you place the material release hole(s)?
