This is a replacement for the standard Strida folding bicycle belt wheel ("chain ring"). It fits to a standard 130 mm bolt circle crank spider. (The one in the photos is from Lasco -- it's available on
Amazon. This belt wheel is designed to work with a standard 8 mm pitch, 12 mm width HTD or GT2 belt. The belt wheel has 100 teeth, like the standard Strida belt wheel.
The belt wheel in the photos was printed in "White Strong & flexible." I "painted" it black with a Scripto marker!
(The photos show the belt wheel installed on my recumbent bike, not a Strida!)
Update 22 October 2017: Although I've used this beltwheel for at least four years, I recently broke off a bit of the flange (a length of about five teeth) -- the belt now hangs up where the flange resumes, and then "snaps" onto the teeth, making an annoying tick! The flange broke when the belt "skipped" on the rear cog (either due to a very high load or insufficient belt tension or some combination of these). The sudden movement of the belt somehow affected the front beltwheel. I have now strengthened the flange (from a 1 mm to 2 mm thickness). Hopefully we'll get more than four years on the next go-around!
