Long time ago I managed to purchase rare and beautiful set of movable fonts for letterpress printing. In order to make these steampunk style monograms, I found old Chandler and Price printing press, created proof-print (pictured with actual letterpress blocks). Rest is digital witchcraft - such as resizing lines, fixing unsupported elements, etc.
Monograms were designed with silver printing properties and tolerances in mind. I will post pictures as soon as I will get my monograms. At this moment it is UNTESTED. I also very interested to see how well it can be printed out of steel (level of detailing seems achievable but read Shapeways advices on materials and decide for yourself!).
It could be one-of-the-kind gift to yourself or someone you love! Thank you! Let me know what do you think! If you would want me to create bigger size to print in other materials - send me a message!
