I can't think of a better application of the properties of 3D printing to make something new and useful. Too bad we use bags for milk around here. Well done. Do one for a pop bottle.

Good idea and worth patenting. Unfortunately, the patent application should have been issued before the invention was made public, I don't think you can make the patent anymore, unless you already have made the application before you made your idea public. But in any case, you have made the world a bit better place- and probably make more money out of selling the sprout copies through Shapeways shop than through license fees, considering the patenting, marketing, development etc. costs for getting it even to production (not yet rapid prototyping in economical mass production, sorry!) and on the hardware store shelves.

I totally agree. It would stink if someone else was getting paid for your great creation. That's really cool by the way. simple and smart.

I agree. You should patent this. This is brilliant.
