So I just ordered a prototype. Did I do this right? I have two parts I want to slide together. I made a rail on one part, and a clip on the other. (https://imgur.com/a/UHC8kav) I put these little bumps on the rail (pictured in grey) and I'm hoping the clips on the top piece deform as they go over the bumps to make the pieces snap together???

    I'm a total noob here.

I have no idea what I'm doing.

I made the gap between the rail and the clip .2mm and I made the bump stick .1mm past the clip???

Okay good to know I’m on the right track! Yes the slide is horizontal as illustrated here: https://m.imgur.com/a/UHC8kav

I was a little scared of a cantilever snap because I had no way to undo it so I just wanted a little resistance to the two parts coming undone.

good point about the material. I wish there was some reference but at any rate I’ll post how it goes when I get it!
