Shapeways Live - next is January 16th, 2013

With organizing SIGGRAPH next week (we leave on Friday!) I would not be able to do justice to Shapeways Live today so I'm scheduling it for:

Wednesday August 15th 8pm UTC (4pm EST for those in the US)

Upcoming releases (InShape 2!!) and announcements

We're going to be trying a new format using google+/youtube.

I'm trying Google Hangouts for the first time with a few friends tonight for my Minneapolis Shapeways meetup.

Time is getting short and I'm interested to know how this Google+/YouTube combo works.
Others might be too if there's anything they have to do (set up account or whatever) in advance of the start time.

Hi Guys!

So SHAPEWAYS LIVE is happening in 2 hours!

8pm UTC

It will be hosted on google+ so if you are not a member, its easy to sign up. Just go to google.com/+ ...

I will post here the link to the hangout once it is live (you can't post the link before you're broadcasting) and I will tweet it out too.

You can just click the link and it will prompt you to join as well.

We can have a max of ten people in the hangout at once, so we'll try this format and see how it goes!

10 people is quite limited considering the anticipation and that there used to be upwards of 25 (or thereabouts) Shapeways members excluding staff.

Will the broadcast be recorded for those who don't make it in to view?

Yes Paul, it will be automatically recorded and saved on the Shapeways YouTube account.

As for the number of participants, we'll see how we go!

If this format doesn't work, we can try another one next month.
