I'm working on a conceptual design with the texture of shark skin found here for an example http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?q=placoid+scales&hl=en&am p;client=safari&sa=X&rls=en&biw=1365&bih=780 &tbm=isch&prmd=imvns&tbnid=9-fd_9C-QYa6IM:&i mgrefurl=http://conspiracyfactory.blogspot.com/2007_06_01_ar chive.html&docid=hnlvKxPAP1TExM&imgurl=http://3.bp.b logspot.com/_cBkbdLQJPmM/RoUQcEX30wI/AAAAAAAAAEo/cz-fX2iVNw4 /s400/hai.jpg&w=383&h=383&ei=o8WhTt7gGMPJswaH5eS MAw&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=334&vpy=139&dur=1 218&hovh=225&hovw=225&tx=103&ty=139&sig= 104044060156574973380&page=1&tbnh=144&tbnw=156&a mp;start=0&ndsp=24&ved=1t:429,r:1,s:0 wow thats a long link. each scale is approx 0.4 to 1.4mm so each ridge is divide by three so its pretty detailed. Does anyone tell me the most detailed RP available? I'd like to print three sample about 5mm thick x 20cm diameter circle with each scale arrayed and tesselated to fill the shape. Three scale variations 1. 1mm scales 2. 2mm scales 3. 3mm scales Does anyone know what RP will prnt this detail? Thanks
You'll get the best detail from FUD (Frosted Ultra Detail) https://www.shapeways.com/materials/frosted_detail Read there to see if it has the details you need
