Hi everybody, my name is Fabian and i´m from Germany. I am new to 3d modelling and Shapeways. My goal is to create 3D modeltrains, that are detailed. Hi Fabian, Welcome to Shapeways. The easiest software to start out may be Google SketchUp and Autodesk's 123D. Both are free and 'relatively' easy to learn. Good luck

Welcome to Shapeways, Fabian You can definitely use Sketchup to make trains like that, see here for an 18 page thread of Sketchup-modeled train awesomeness, btw, that forum is excellent for Sketchup help.
