Had these printed a bit ago really but I had been too busy to take pictures and finish customizing stuff in my shop, work, new ideas, etc........ Anyway here are some images of the complete works of my 8 Gothic Coaster designs. These are the normal designs: https://www.shapeways.com/product/QSLQP5YF7 https://www.shapeways.com/product/L45FZB92T https://www.shapeways.com/product/5QS744EDQ https://www.shapeways.com/product/GWCYF9EUF https://www.shapeways.com/product/ZHEUAR7JB https://www.shapeways.com/product/VPFBRBN6H https://www.shapeways.com/product/BQ6TXQWWQ https://www.shapeways.com/product/Y874NEJSE These require or are at least designed to have a 3" Plexiglass/glass insert in addition to the coaster: https://www.shapeways.com/product/6C5B2Z5SY https://www.shapeways.com/product/A8USTWQLR https://www.shapeways.com/product/XXGYB55EH https://www.shapeways.com/product/8SYABEN6D https://www.shapeways.com/product/4QM5UD5V4 https://www.shapeways.com/product/26QGA6NSE https://www.shapeways.com/product/GNL8DR622 https://www.shapeways.com/product/RRJC6WBJK Also for added measure, because I didn't have this in a previous thread, here is a Gothic Egg I designed and printed: https://www.shapeways.com/product/VXHAXVWNN I have been inspired mostly by gothic cathedrals and rose windows since I think they are quite beautiful. The designs may be similar in look to many real windows but they are still very much my own design. I know that coasters aren't really in high demand especially at 3D printed prices but I thought it would be a fun exercise really. Hopefully in the near future I will finish my customizable version of the coaster designs. The hardest time I had really was with creating 8 separate designs for the coasters that I liked. Also in making the Egg I had a hard time creating the design on a curved surface then creating an inner shell and making it a solid. I did a fair job in Sketchup but it does lack a lot of features of more professional suites which I am delving into. Up until about a couple weeks ago all of my designs were created solely using SketchUp. However, recently I have been branching into learning the program Rhinoceros and the two designs I am waiting to get back from the printers have been modeled in Rhinoceros. Anyway thats it for now I guess. Getting late where I am.
