A interesting and fun trend I've been seeing this year has been designers doing joint collaborations. Whether that's working with talented illustrators to turn their 2D drawings into 3D merchandise like Jeremy Burnich, or MrFernando Sosa partnering with rappers like Hell Razah to create custom graffiti pieces, even Lucas Goossens working closely with a client to launch a custom Fitbit / Jawbone accessories Shapeways store (https://www.bytten.com/). I also don't want to forget the rock star Haydn Phillip Bao who has collaborated with clients to launch around 9 Shapeways shops!

I even recently partnered with a talented animator Ian Miller (https://youtu.be/OUrz4CtGuOM) in collaboration with Kostika Spaho to make a Captain Tardigrade figurine.

I want to learn more about other joint collaborations people in this group has done and how did those come about? Let me know in a comment below.

I'll bite! My collaborative piece just came in today, so I have reason to crow. 'Radiolaris' is a sculpture series by the French artist Hervé All (https://www.art.herveall.com/), currently an artist-in-residence in Providence, Rhode Island. We met on Instagram and he asked me to model one of his pieces for 3D-printing. The result is a stunning polished silver piece (great job Shapeways!), that he will sell at the gallery displaying his work. The last photo is his original sculpture. Please tell us that the pattern on Captain Tardigrade's codpiece is supposed to be a face and not anything suggestive.
