    Just received my first model!!

It's so cool to actually hold something I had on paper for the last 4 years.

I printed it in Aluminide. Feels like a grey speckled plastic. It's flexible although I haven't tried too much. It does have a little bit of a bounce to it. The detail is very good. I am very pleased!!

Wow that looks amazing, I can't tell but is it all one piece? Hard to tell with the intertwining.

Very nice! What approach did you use for modeling it? It doesn't look like the kind of thing that would be amenable to describing by a simple mathematical function...

It is modeled of 30 identical pieces all supporting each other as 1 solid piece... That's what causes it to be so springy...

It's more of a stellation than a mathematical function.

I started messing with connecting different verticies of an icosahedron. Tried different curves to keep from intersecting each other. And this is the result...

That's a really nice model - good to see a mixture of angles and curves!
