    Hi,

I wondered if strong & flexible material in black can be polished? Like the available red, blue, violet etc.
Can't find it in material choice..

    thank you

Has been requested time and again, but apparently the black dye they use does not bind as well to the polished parts as it does to the raw WSF. There was one thread back in the Post Production forum around december 2012 where one designer experimented extensively to get a nice black for some
    photographic equipment.

    Thanks, I suspected similar reason.
Actually I'm about just to launch my tool for photographers :)

    thanks anyway

Correct - black dyed polished would have a less intense black shade (more: charcoal), and also different shades of black/grey on the same part as depending on the geometry, some parts of models will be more or less polished than other parts. As many of you find consistency important, we have chosen to not yet introduce black polished.

We're very open to suggestions on how to achieve a repeatable, consistent black coloring method, but please remember we get 100,000+ new uploads each month - and a new finishing technique should work on all of them :)
