Transparent / Reflective multi material model

Hello Everyone,

I'm wondering if it's possible to have a 3d model, with two material, one fully transparent and other one fully reflective. for example I want to know if it's possible to have a transparent tube with a mirror cap.

Shapeways currently has no printer that will mix two materials into a single print.
They also have no printer that produces a truly transparent "clear" material.

But, we can continue to anxiously await such a day......

How if we make all with one material and then cover the cap with reflective material? is that possible in post-processing?

You could print in transparent detail or FUD and polish to near clear transparency. Then you could coat the parts you want to have a mirror finish.

Is it part of Shapeways service or should I do it myself?

You would have to do this yourself

Don't you provide any gluing service, if I split my design into two parts, each part with different material?

The only post production services we offer are in our material options (polishing, dying, plating).
