Any way to clean multicolor sandstone?

Discussion in 'Finishing Techniques' started by caretdashcaret, Jul 23, 2013.

  1. I know color fades with water. Is there any other way to clean a print once it's gotten a little bit dirty?

    Thanks

I'm a FCS noob, but the recommendation is to seal the model with clear laquer as soon as you get it.

I've tried a bit of light sanding with fine wet/dry paper, 600 grit, and found the sanding residue really difficult to remove completely by brushing.

However, I did have better success applying a blob of Blu-Tac around the model, this might work for dirt also.

    Good luck!
