Silver Valentine's Forget-Me-Not Flower Heart - Finishng touches

    I finally got around to oxidising some of the silver jewellery I recently had 3D printed from Shapeways. Here are before and after photos of the results. The oxidisation process really brings out the detail and give it a lovely antique handmade look.

    I start the models in Lightwave3D then move to Zbrush to add all the detail and fun stuff

    Hhm, pretty similar to me. I start in Rhino and then move to ZBrush.

  5. What do you use to oxidize them? they look really cool

    I used Liver of sulphur to oxidise the silver. It's very easy to use. Just add a few drop to some warm water and pop the jewellery in. The longer you leave it the darker it gets and then you have to give it a good polish with a silver polishing cloth. You can buy Liver of Sulphur from Amazon or most jewellery supply stores
