Hi all! I am building a wooden model ship and I would like to print some decoration parts in FUD. I already modeled some parts and ordered them to check the quality. The only thing that concerns me is the durability of the material. I intend to paint the parts with acrylic paint and glue them to the hull. There will be no mechanical stress on them. Of course there will be no experience how a FUD part will look like after 20 years..... But are there some estimates? Will it remain in shape or will it desintegrate and get brittle over time? FUD is a type of acrylic. Acrylic was used for windows in some WWII aircaft... and they're still good today, so my guess for the longevity of FUD, might be around 50 years plus. (though obviously by then everyone will own a 3D printer, so replacement parts will be easy to make ) Paul
