I've created a .wrl VRML97 file from Blender 2.49, but for some reason, the texture doesn't display correctly. It uploads just fine, as I can see it on the model in certain parts. I was wondering if anyone had some tips as to what the issue might be? The only thought that came to mind would be flipped normals, or an improperly applied material, but I checked that, and I'm pretty sure that's not it. Model should be viewable here: https://www.shapeways.com/model/236568/ferrenginelogo2.html Thanks in advance!
Alright, so I've been working on this some-more, and one thing I noticed is that since my model was originally a collection of completely separate characters, I ended up with a lot of faces adjacent and facing to each other. After fixing some of these, the untextured spots -seem- to be going away. The only problem is, it's very hard to tell if it's actually working, since I've completely re-indexed large parts of it, and now new spots are showing up in untouched places Here's the latest: https://www.shapeways.com/model/236843/ferrenginelogo.html
Hi Maluoi, as also mentioned in this thread https://www.shapeways.com/forum/index.php?t=msg&th=4916&a mp;start=0& the missing color information might be a problem that is caused in our model process chain. We are currently investigating this. Barry
Thanks for the reply! I actually got it to work just fine after a -lot- of re-working... it seems to be something about those adjacent faces that did it for mine. I just removed all of those, and it looks pretty good now. https://www.shapeways.com/model/236936/ferrenginelogo3.html
