    Hi,

I check the shapeways main page a few times per day for a quick update.

But ever since the "blog" and "forum" topics moved way down, I keep scrolling all over the place.

At first I didn't even see they were down there and missed a few blog-posts.

I understand lots of different kind of people visit the site and you need a certain balance, but might I make another suggestion ?

The "shapeways in the press box" is a bit large, and also static.
Why not swap the blog summary with the press box.
(and make the press box wider/less high)

And it seems the "Free shipping box" is a bit unnecessary.
Seeing that shipping is always included/free, why not add a sort of stamp (like "beta") to the top header. "Free shipping" Seems like a good promotion on any page. Same for the "We're hiring"

This would free up space for the forum post list.

It could be the sudden summer heat, but I think they are sane suggestions ? ;)

    Cheers,

    Stijn

    Hi Virtox,

thanks for your feedback, i will forward it to my colleagues.

Regarding the Blog and Forum links, you can also find them in the Community drop-down menu. No need to scroll all the way down

    Hi Ralph,

ah, Yes, but that require a whole lot of clicks and even more scrolling to get to the same info ;) I'm just a fan of the small latest items lists

A condensed version of the following page would be handy also :
    https://www.shapeways.com/forum/index.php?t=selmsg&date=t oday&frm_id=0&th=0
This page used to be available from the top of the forum page.
Is there a reason it is hidden now?

    Cheers,

    Stijn

    Hey Stijn,

    yeah! They're sane :)

I'm currently researching if it makes sense to have a decicated 'community homepage' that works more like a dashboard for members, with stuff like news overview, forum list, event calendar, member spotlight/interview etc.

    How does that sound?
