A perfect scarab with all the little details. What an Egyptian metalsmith would have crafted, had the pharoahs dreamed of direct-metal printing.

Featured on BoingBoing, NotCot, and entymologically discerning sterna worldwide.

To wear as a pendant, a simple 2mm-thick cord works well.

I created the skeleton of a skeletal Lepidoptera. The Death's Head Hawkmoth (Acherontia atropos), seen on The Silence of the Lambs , has a skull marking on its back. I made a full human-like bone structure for the moth, with the grinning skull protruding from its back.

The model is very thin, yet sturdy and flexible. Detail level is fantastic, and the natural texture of the 3d printing process gives it a bone-like appearance that works wonders.

Yes, moths don't have endoskeletons, that's the whole point...

From above, a classic Egyptian scarab; from below, a real scarab.

The scarab is in a typical defensive posture, legs folded. As a result, it presents a strikingly different aspect when turned over.

This model is scaled to fit well in the hand, and because of the folded posture, is robust enough to travel well in a pocket. Mine goes with me everywhere. Warning: the claws are as sharp as they look.

Stag beetles are amazing creatures. They look like tiny knights in full armor. I think there a not many left of this brave soldiers ... I saw my last stag beetle when I was a kid!

This stag beetle can be used as a pendant!

There is an awesome scarab pendant available which was a great inspiration for this stag beetle. It was made by Elytra. Check it out!

A Small Raven Skull. There's a ring attached on the back for a necklace. Amazing detail in this design, printed perfectly in "Antique Bronze Glossy" and "White Strong & Flexible" materials, thick metal ring on the back. Makes a beautiful gift. $31.58 in Antique Bronze Glossy Material. Comes with a 22-1/2" inch-long chain upon request. There's a lot more to Raven than meets the eye. In Native American Lore, the Raven is described as a creature of Change, symbolizing Metamorphosis & Transformation. The Raven is honored among Holy & Medicine men in some tribes. The Spirit of the Raven was called upon so visions could be clarified, and was also called upon in healing rituals and is thought to provide long-distance healing. Raven is seen as a bearer of magic & messenger of the cosmos. In some tribes Raven is looked upon as a Creator God. Please contact for a customized version. :) ancienteyes(@)shaw.ca
