A replica of Cobb's totem from the film "Inception". As a below review has noted, and from my own version, the top works very well, and spins upwards of 90 seconds before toppling. You just might be in a dream.

An espresso cup specially designed with fins, to ensure the successful deployment of your rocket fuel. All systems are go! Paraboloid bowl holds approximately 1.5 fl oz. or 45 mL. (Note that I previously claimed the cup held 60 mL. While my 3D modelling software still reports that as the internal volume, some combination of the printing process and glazing is robbing me of internal volume. Contact me if you'd be interested in a larger, more expensive 60 mL cup.)

After receiving feedback from Shapeways, I've created a slightly revised model for the cup. I'm told that this model will be easier to print and glaze, leading to a more reliable product. The changes are minor -- it's a little wider, a little heavier, and has more rounding on edges that were previously sharp (a 3D rendering shows the differences above).

Update (April 13th, 2013): The cup has had a great run on Shapeways, and I deeply appreciate the attention and positive feedback it has received. The bad news is that I've got to stop offering it for sale here. The good news is that the cup is now available commercially! It's being manufactured by Fred and Friends, sold under the name "Blast Off! Espresso Cup Set". It's already available for purchase online (perpetualkid.com, thinkgeek.com), and I'm sure you'll be able to find it in your favourite housewares store soon.

There are six regular convex polytopes in 4D, which are analogous to the five Platonic solids in 3D. This is the fifth, the hyperdodecahedron, a remarkably beautiful object brought to my attention by George Hart.

Here it's shown in a Schlegel diagram so you can see all 120 dodecahedral cells, though most are transformed by perspective: in this projection, the only regular dodecahedra are the biggest one on the outside and the tiniest one at the center.

A smaller model is here.

[UPDATE] 24/01/2013:
The amulet is now available in a few smaller sizes:
Amulet 3.5cm

Amulet 3.0cm

///////////////
Amulet is 4 cm (1.6 in) with increased details!!!
(like the mouth and eyes, to make the lines more visible)
For the ones who think it's a bit to dark i would suggest to order it in Gold Plated Glossy.

Amulet comes without a cord!

For infos about the materials pls check this site: http://www.shapeways.com/materials/steel

This amulet was inspired from the amulet which Dean Winchester is wearing in the TV-Series SUPERNATURAL.
Should be very screen accurate.

Please rate the amulet if you like it. Thanks! :)

Danke!

Solo e Sola is an espresso cup that holds a single cigarette.

The Solo e Sola cup was inspired out of need, and could be used to build an entire business model... imagine a food truck offering single espresso shots with single cigarettes. Currently illegal, probably unhealthy, yet understandably desirable, Solo e Sola is a serving piece for a food truck, a cafe or a restaurant, or individuals.

A product of Tomorrow Lab’s CoBuilt process [ http://tomorrow-lab.com/cobuilt ], this cup was developed for a low cost using rapid fabrication processes including an inhouse MakerBot and Shapeways.com.

Five intersecting tetrahedra with an icosahedron inside them.  There is just enough space between all the pieces that it will print as 6 separate objects.  The edge length of the tetrahedron is 7.5cm, it stands 8.6 cm high, about the size of a tennis ball.

There are six regular convex polytopes in 4D, which are analogous to the five Platonic solids in 3D. This is the sixth, the hypericosahedron, with 600 tetrahedral cells.

This was the hardest of this group to make a printable model of. For a Schlegel diagram one would need quite a large size to allow the amount of interior complexity required, and it gets difficult to build as well as expensive, so I used this face-first projection suggested by Henry Cohn. Some of the tetrahedral are collapsed and become planar, but on the plus side the complexity is on the outside where you can see it!

The Minimized Gramophone "iAcoustic S" is an accessory for your iPhone, but it was not intended for an additional, separate device.
You need the charging cable for the iPhone every day, and the iAcoustic S was designed to transform the cable into a multi-functional device. The cable dressed up with the iAcoustic S can become an acoustic amplifier and a stand as well as a charger. When you put the cable into your bag, the iAcoustic S can also be a cable winder.

Its design was simplified for following the additional functions, and to provice the longer vibrating air column for the better and louder sound quality, its curved tube shape was created. The thickness of its bell and curved tube is 0.8mm.

It can also fit the iPhone with a typical case or a bumper. A mock-up plug is included, so you can use it instead of the charging cable when you don't need the cable.

- Link for iPhone 4/4S version -

* It works with the original charging cable.

This part consists of all five Platonic Solids nested one inside another.

From largest to smallest, there is an icosahedron (20 triangular faces), a dodecahedron (12 pentagonal faces), a hexahedron (6 square faces), a tetrahedron (4 triangular faces) and an octahedron (8 triangular faces).

The overall shape is a Rhombic Triacontrahedron, a combination of an icosahedron and dodecahedron).
These can be nested infinitely following the same order.

Shows the duality between Dodecahedron and Icosahedron.
Can be used as a pendant; lanyard not included.

During the late 70's and early 80' I became highly fascinated by Polyhedra and its Duality.
Intrigued by the little known fact that Plato and Archimedes described their wonderful objects by drawing them with just a stick on the sand, I set up to replicate (well, more or less :-) their extraordinary feat by strictly using only a "T" square, a pair of Compasses, a set of 2 Triangles, and a Ruler.
For the next 5 years I practically lived inside Polyhedra (see picture :-) and, what I used to call "The Archimedes' Curse", ended up to be, in fact, "The Archimedes' Blessing"!

The Polyhedral Sculptures depicted below were hand made (from scrap offset plates) and assembled with machine screws from stackable modular pieces. The modules were drawn/designed on a drawing table while strictly using only a "T" square, a pair of Compasses, a set of 2 Triangles, and a Ruler.

MODULAR POLYHEDRAL LAMP DESIGN (©1981) / Scored and folded aluminium offset plates, machine screws & nuts (©1981)

Based upon wonderful knowledge I accumulated hands-on during the 1980's while exploring "the extraordinary spatial diversity that emanates from the sublime order and elegant simplicity that is exemplified by the subject of polyhedra." (Quote from the Preface to the wonderful book POLYHEDRA PRIMER by Peter Pearce and Susan Pearce)

I was extremely pleased when, a few years back, Prof. George Hart (Department of Computer Science, Department of Computer Science, STONY BROOK UNIVERSITY) included some of my Polyhedral Sculptures, alongside work by Buckminster Fuller and other great designers in his comprehensive COURSE STUDY: COMPUTER SCIENCE AND SCULPTURE (pg. 39-40, OPRESCO).

Ever get tired of watching a movie or youtube on your iPad, and all the sound blasts in the wrong direction : away from you!? With Soundsnap you don't have to experience that ever again. Simply place the Soundsnap in the bottom and just enjoy the clear sound, even amplified, coming straight towards you. The Soundsnap works with iPad 2 and the new iPad. It fits with the smart cover in place as well, and you can even charge your iPad while the soundsnap is on. I have designed another version, with holes, making the sound more "full" - adding more depth to the bass. Have a look at my models :-)
