Hey Ahmad,

thanks! The best way to get started is by adding your event to the list on the Meetup page that we provided:

http://www.meetup.com/shapewayscommunity/

I have removed your phone number for privacy reasons.

Cheers,

Hi Humberto,

there's no meetup planned in Milan yet, but you can be the first :-) Even if you don't want to host the meetup, you can just create the event and see if other people are interested in joining.

The World Meetup page lists February 27th as the date, and this blog specifies the date as February 28th. There seems to be a discrepancy. (I am interested in either date and will sign up when it's cleared up).

Hi Rob,

yes, there's a problem with the meetup page, but we're working on getting that sorted out. The correct date is definitely the 28th! You can just go ahead and create the event and then update the date for now.

Thanks,

Bart

I'd like to attend the Meet Up event if there's one in the San Francisco, California region?!?

Hey Tibor,

there sure is:

http://www.meetup.com/ShapewaysCommunity/San-Francisco-CA/867712/

There is only one member at this time, but I know for a fact that our community in SF is booming, so I expect it'll fill up fast!

Cheers,

Bart

Haha. I just looked at the map, and I am the only member that lives in Alaska.

I had a quick peek in our database and found at least 70 people, especially around Anchorage and Fairbanks :-)

It is stated that of course Eindhoven will have a meetup, because Shapeways is there!
But where is the Eindhoven community listed??? ......
#7 Splinter (Homepage) on 2013-01-25 07:38 (Reply)
Well if you would like I can create a meetup for Eindhoven as well :-)

would you like to have it in the Eindhoven office or somewhere more central in the city?

Very excited about the Chicago Meetup! I will be spreading the word as much as possible. I assume that it is ok that non Shapeways members attend? Thanks for organizing this!

Shalom ;-)
What about Israel?
#12 Urika (Homepage) on 2013-02-19 09:06 (Reply)
@John: absolutely! These meetups aren't limited to Shapeways-only members.

@Urika: there's a meetup planned in Qiryat Gat:

http://www.meetup.com/ShapewaysCommunity/Qiryat-Gat-IL/868082/

And of course you can still start your own event as well if you want!

Cheers,

Hi all!

Is there any specific topic for the 28th? I am just discovering Shapeways and I would like to know if thursday's meetup is reserved to people having a minimum Shapeways experience?

Cheers

Hi, I'm in India and a 3D printing hobbyist but it seems there's no meet-up in India. I'm in Pune, India and would have loved to attend one. Don't mind even travelling to other city to attend in India.

Tapas Gupta.

We will be there in Amsterdam and on the spot we will create a meeting also in the Virtual World Second life and will be joined by a creator that made jewelry in this virtual world and print it out now through shapeways.
We hope all will work if the connection is right.
Looking forward!
