My mom is suffering from hearing loss. So she got the high-tech hearing aides for both ears. However, she complains that the aides are both uncomfortable and amplify all other noises, actually making her life more miserable in e.g. social situations. After talking with her I realized that the issue is to do with the loss of hearing directionality. The traditional remedy was the "ear-trumpet", which helps amplifying the audible signals and providing user-controllable directionality as well. I made her these trumpets and she loved them. Maybe your parents would like these as well! I am thankful for any feedback, and will update and upgrade the shop with new models as I get them tested.
