I've always had a interest in fantasy art from a young age, Inspired by comics and magazines such as savage sword of conan and being around good friends that would play D&D with me. I started making dioramas and miniature painting. I found that I could modify the lead miniatures to my liking. For years I was into making scenes, painting and the afore mentioned diorama making. I always had the thought that I could probably sculpt ,so i took a couple sculpting classes at a local college. Eventually I had taken several then began casting my own figures. I hadn't had much success but I was still hired at a local studio(spotlight designs). I learned how to cast resin and improve my figures I worked on. I also learned production work at the Studio.
Eventually I opened my own Etsy shop. It was messy and time consuming with the casting and painting. There are a lot of good artists and friendly people that I miss from there. It wasn't meant to be since I put so much time into my sculpts and castings with no return to speak of.
For several years I have worked only on my Ipad using a couple programs to make my figures and pendants. I know Etsy didn't work out for me but I'm hoping for a new future here on shapeways. I guess we'll see =)
