1. My miniatures are designed in 1/400 scale so can only be printed in "smooth/est detail" plastic.
2. Scales 6mm and 1/288 are the same file/price; both are printed at 1/285 scale (all future models will be listed as 6mm).
3. I had many models designed to have moving parts but they don't work easily because the wax support can't escape the joints. After 2 to 20 hours in a Simple Green/50 watt ultrasonic bath some parts will move. At these small scales the wax is stronger than the <1mm plastic pivots. So consider all models static with only a tiny chance to have moving parts unless noted otherwise.
4. You can request other scales, but bigger is exponentially more expensive. (going from 1/400 to 1/100 is 4x larger in scale, but 4x4x4=68x larger in material), and might not even fit a printer's max dimensions. 1/72 often won't print in the cheap low detail "versatile" plastic, and since its a powder print it looks like sandtone and is impossible to paint smooth. The Goldhofer AST-1 in 1/72 versatile plastic is $110. The Vammas PSB costs $87 at 1/87 scale with the cheap versatile/ low detail plastic! I think "versatile" is a waste of money for all scale models so won't offer it in my listings.
The software I use is Solidworks and is geared toward industrial design like the things you see in my store. You can see my portfolio at facebook/ttakata73 (I don't use FB's messenger). Any basic design needs to have a front, side, and top view. If the bottom and back are different then those drawings must exist too. I essentially need to know what an object looks like from all sides so if you don't have this info I can't make it without a lot of guessing. You can find great videos online about "orthographic drawing" to explain how to design on paper. I don't do sculpted forms like modern cars, wings, animals, etc....because no info exists for body contours so they would be impossible to duplicate without a 3D scanner. You should be realistic about pricing objects. I wanted a small 1/400 building printed but when the price was $900 I lost interest.
My design rate (if I am available and interested) is $50/hour.
Example 1: 1/400 TaxibotWB took 20 hours since no drawings or dimensions are publicly shared.
Example 2: 1/400 GPUFT99 took 2 hours to design since its made of simple extrusions and drawing/dimensions do exist online.
Please email any drawings to ttakata73@gmail if you want a quote.
