industrial bling

Welcome to "industrial bling" where you may experience our madly ambitious attempt to reinvigorate ancient alchemy , + where curiously odd artifacts are conceived and crafted by industrial designer and micro brand creator Suzy Weir MDes. This is your porthole for captivatingly memorable, personalized, corporate gifts + curiously irresistible, handmade jewellery, accessories and wearable sculpture +jewellery making classes
'industrial bling®' is a curiously unusual creative hub as well as a curated shop on Orwell Street, Potts Point, Sydney NSW, Australia.   As we see it, the "maker meets retail outlet" is emerging as fundamentally essential. To that, creator Suzy Weir MDes has been practicing industrial design and giving workshops in silver and gold object making from ancient lost wax casting to modern metal laser sintering. "industrial bling®" is a brand that is daring to be different with collaboration that is redefining the role of the high street shop front to meet the needs of the interestingly diverse demographic of Oz. How do we do this? In our "Exactly Like Nothing Else" series we host events on jawdroppingly fascinating subjects from beeswax to bronze craft, we regularly invite talented guests, who are illustrious makers. Curatorial inspiration emerges from numerous sources for this brand, such as Leonardo Da Vinci's flying machine, the charm of 19th century industrial instruments, Australian Naval heraldry, Ned Kelly's fashion style, architecture, chemistry and observations on botanicals, kangaroos and autobody parts.Bounce by anytime, there's always something new to see or hear or do...or acquire. 'industrial bling®' splurgery is featured in the Powerhouse MAAS, the MoNA shop and in insightful galleries in Melbourne, Sydney and New York.
